bottom bracket creaking

I have a creaking bottom bracket. Some history. I began hearing a creak earlier this summer. I have replaced the pedals, crank and bottom bracket and shortly after doing so, the creaking returned. It occurs on different chainrings and different cogs and even with a different chain.

I have torqued to specification, used teflon tape and when that didn't work, grease things up well. Most recently I used permatex purple threadlocker (low strength) on the threads as per https://www.parktool.com/repair_help/FAQcartdg.shtml.

I applied threadlocker to the bearing cup and bearing body in addition to the threads on both sides. Still creaking. It usually makes a single creak on the downpedal on the left side. It only creaks on the down pedal of the right side when I am really pushing down hard. What should my next step be?? Thanks for you time and advice.

Is it your bottom bracket? I assume it occurs OOS (out of saddle, when standing on the pedals.) Does it happen hands free? Headset? Stem? Is it a chainring bolt, the seatpost bolt, the rear derailurer bolt? My theory has always been -- It is almost never the bottom bracket. Almost never.

Ide have to agree most of the creaks ive encountered are from the headset/handlebars. You might consider checking that.

i had the exact same problem on my older bike that got stolen... and now on this bike too. Usually teflon fixes it, but i find using silicon lube will fix the creaking

i only get it on the right side as well, if i pedal down hard enough at an angle.
your best bet is to get rid of the dirt that gets stuck in random places in the bracket
