Gore ride on cable question
I'm looking at the GORE cable kits & trying to compare real world differences. there are 2 kits available. The Gore RideOn Professional Derailleur Cable Kit & the Gore RideOn Low Friction Road Derailleur Cable Kit, The second one is half the price, i believe the real difference is weather sealing in the expensive one.
Can anybody tell me real world performance comparison in the 2? If the Low Friction works as well, I'm going for them, as Phoenix doesn't have too much weather problem.

Some speculation
Haven`t seen these myself but have used high end Jagwire systems quite extensively and I think they`re comparable.
The Professional systems states the kit included long nosed ferrules and O-ring seals. Exactly the same options are available for Jagwire systems but its not half the price of the kit.
But several grades of cable housing are available and if the Professional kit has a higher grade housing as well as the weatherproofing components - that would explain the price difference.
Wheither you`d actually notice that difference in the real world is another question. Personally I`d suggest yo go for the cheaper kit and spend the time to determine and cut optimal cable lengths for each section and finish the cable ends well. That will definately make a difference.

Thanks guys, looking at their website they suggest the cheaper set for ROAD bikes. Found a buddy that loves them so I'm going to order them.
