26.0 bars in a 26.4 stem?

So I have a set of 3ttt bars that I'd like to use with my cinelli XA stem. The problem being that the stem clamp is 26.4mm and the bars are 26.0mm... Is it advisable to use a shim for this, or am I asking for trouble?

Read this thread from yesterday: https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...an-I-shim-this

Sometimes searching doesn't come up with the results you want, but at least scan the first page to see if someone asked the exact question you're looking for..

the shim needs to be 0.2mm thick.. , thread-lock will help glue things together..

I use a 26.0 bar in a 26.4 1R stem, but it uses a wedge and shoe,
rather than compress around the bar with a pinch bolt. like 1A
