Crankset Upgrade
I would like to slowly upgrade my wife's bike using some , somewhat better parts form my bike and by upgrading some of my parts at the same time. Right now she has a Shimano TX-71 crankset with 28/38/48 teeth chain rings. Can I replace the crankset and BB with my current FSA alpha drive / powerdrive BB with 22/32/44 teeth chain rings? Her bike has a 7 speed rear cog set 11-30 teeth vs mine which has a 9 speed rear cog set 11-32 teeth.

Maybe. Depending on the spacing between chainrings, you might need to transfer the 9 speed chain as well. Then measure the chain and make sure its long/short enough.
