hey, my bike has been broken to a point to where i cant ride it. Its like the chain is sliping but when i push the pedal and watch the chain but its not skipping i was wondering is this the gear or what and what can i do to fix it. Its a huffy bike. Btw it was caused by my idiot friend putting a stick in the back tire as i was rideing and the stick broke. If that helps any.

Here's a trick that might work.

1. Take off your back wheel. Lay it horizontally across a waste can with the cogs facing up.
2. Spin the gear cluster with your fingers. Notice what part spins and what stays still.
3. Shoot some WD40 into the crack between the moving part and the stationary part. Let it soak in.
4. Spin the gear cluster with your fingers again. If you can get it to move one way but not the other you're good.

Light oil would be better. WD40 is not a good lubricant for bikes.

But not sure how a stick would damage the freewheel anyway. More likely it bent the derailleur and screwed up the chain alignment.
