Thanks for all of the suggestions. I found Shoe Goo at a local hobby shop and have applied it using a clamp and block of wood. I'll report back after I've worn the shoe on a few rides.

Seems like the Shoe Goo is working fine after about 400 miles of moderate riding in high temperatures. Thanks again for all the suggestions.
