Hi everyone, it's been a while since I have been on the forums, but now I come to you in need of help.

I own an Electra Rally Sport 3 speed with the Shimano Nexus 3 speed internal shifter. I have recently been having problems with the gears though.

It started a while ago when it would start slipping from 3rd into 2nd or 1st for a second. Now It goes from 1st to 3rd with no 2nd gear at all. And the grip doesnt rotate to the position of the 3rd gear. It is like stuck on the 2nd gear position. I do not know how to fix this but would appreciate anyone's knowledge and help figuring out how to set it back to normal.

nexus uses cable, right?? if it does... obviously thats the 1st thing u have to look. Cable tension maybe?

make sure the shift box is not slipping. set shifter to 2 and adjust the tension to line up the marks
