Do various chains brands have different pin thickness/ diameters?

I got a reusable masterlink https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...ain+Links.aspx ,which I was planning to use to repair a failed chainwhip. However, I found out that it's pins is too thick for the chain - so I said to myself, just use another chain for the whip. Searching through my chain drawer (I have at least 10 different kinds of 1/8, 3/32 as well as 9 and 10 speed chains) I had to find out, that this link can't be used on any chain I had.
So do different chains have different pin thicknesses? From my 9 and 10 speed experiences, when different companies' links had been used for various chain brands, I assumed, they all are the same. I have tried to find a table, but couldn't.
PS: The thickness of this link's pin is 5/43" or 3.93mm ( per my dial caliper)
Thanks for any clarification!

On my Chain whips I use an 1/8" master link, into the hole on the length of Hot rolled flat bar.
a link of 1"chain . then for the rest is the derailleur chain..
For good measure I ovalized some steel tubing till it fitover the end, for bonus leverage

used them to tear down Regina freewheels which are all threaded,
and the others which are partially using splined cogs,

So do different chains have different pin thicknesses?
Yes.
