there aren't any thorn resistant tubes, but there are things like self sealing filler and tire liners.
look up:
slime tire sealant
mr tuffy tire liner

I have tried thorn resistant tubes, they didn't work, I still got flats.
The only thing that worked for my are tire liners: https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Tuffy-Bicyc...5277543&sr=8-2
I have only gotten one flat with tire liners: I hit a 2 inch staple and it went through the tire liner and popped the tube.

LePanch, do you currently have a lot of flats due to thorns? With each step toward increased flat resistance, the bike will become leaden-feeling and harder to propel. I would see if the tire liners alone do the job before investing in thicker tubes and tires.
(I ask this because my brother gave me an old MTB that required a lot of effort and down-shifting to ride, and it turned out to have tire-liners AND heavy-duty tubes under the knobby tires! Totally unnecessary in my area.

Ah, that's unfortunate. Might be worth investing in some Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, in that case.

I'd go for puncture resistant tires before puncture resistant tubes. Once the glass/nail/etc has made it through the tire the tube doesn't stand much of a chance unless it's really heavy. If the tires aren't enough then I'd probably try tire liners, then lastly heavier tubes.

Tire liners are a cheap way to prevent flats. I'd recommend Rhinodillos; They're amazing, >2000 urban miles, no flats on Conti Super Plus's. They come in various sizes and are remarkably cheap for how well they work. I recently got another pair for $12.99 on ebay, free shipping too. I'd stay away from slime liners, absolute trash, Mr. Tuffies are meh... Overall Rhinodillos are fantastic, I've pulled nails, glass, staples, thorns, etc, out of the tires, and no flats ever.
bit of advice with for any liner: take the time to install them properly, line them up right. Improperly installed liners will cause more flats than they would ever prevent.
