North Road Bars?
Is there any manufacturer making a modern version of North Road handlebars? I pulled a pair of original ones off a junked Raleigh in the co-op a while ago, and I really like the riding position they give, but they're a) currently fitted to my beater and b) very heavy, being steel. I'm looking for a set of modern ones to fit to the long-distance club ride bike I'm building up, which currently has flat bars, but I can't seem to find any. I'd prefer to be able to use my current shifters and brake levers, so they'd ideally be 7/8" diameter, but I can convert to drop-style levers if I have to.
Does any such handlebar exist?
Thanks in advance

Nitto, JP, makes several, in aluminum, and thin wall Chro-Moly.
the high strength steel in this case allows it to do the job and weigh less..
1" center , 7/8" for the rest of the tube.

I can vouch for the Nitto's being pretty neato, and lighter than a fart.
They replaced the beach-cruiser bars on my Globe Live3, and I've been very, very happy with them.
Had to perform a little jiggery pokery to prevent the brake lines from jabbing my dog in the back of the head, but they feel and look infinitely better IMO.

Thanks!
and Grand Bois, finding them is easy, finding them for sale seems to be very difficult. I suspect this is because most of them are fitted to old Raleighs, which were designed to last about a million years without failing, so they never get stripped for parts.

Wald makes something similar. It might not have the exact shape you're after, and it's chromed steel, not your lightweight alloy, but Wald makes decent stuff.

The On-One Midge is a sportier, droppier style of bar than the Mary, a bit like you see on the Pashley Guv'nor/
