You need to be more specifc about the bike you are looking at. CAAD3 was a frame used on 5 models in 1997 https://allcdale.com/cannondale-caad3

THe original bottom bracket would have been an english threaded 68mm shell with some spindle length to give whatever crankset that came with it proper chainline. Likely the spindle was between 109 and 113mm long. Since, as mentioned above, the CAAD3 frame came on several different bikes, and each of those bikes likely had a different crankset, they may have all had different length spindles. THey almost definitely all had English threaded 68mm shells, though
