bel ray waterproof grease question

i just have a question or two, is bel ray waterproof grease the same as phil wood grease?i run a set of rhyno lite wheels with xt hubs and am looking for a grease to relube them if the bel ray is the same as the phil wood i can get it localy and its about half the price. also i have a brand new can of lubriplate 1200-2 part#L0102-001 14oz can
is this good for anything on a bike as far as a grease standpoint or is this more for applying to threads and such it is thick and not runny like other lubriplate i have used.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

There's lots of latitude in terms of what grease to use. Virtually any marine grade grease is more than adequate as far as lubrication and water resistance, and the only issue is viscosity. Many are simply more than needed and are unnecessarily stiffer than needed adding to viscous drag (not a big deal except when spinning the unloaded wheel)

I still like white lithium greases and have been using Lubriplate 630aa for a few decades. My hubs are used in all weather, have been totally submerged at times, and receive virtually zero attention other than a fieldstrip/clean/lube every 5,000 miles or so, or after a rough winter. My zero care system seems to work fine as I have hubs and BBs with over 50,000 miles, and have yet to ever replace a cone or cup on any bearing save for headsets.

Use whatever seems OK and it almost assuredly will be.

I use marine grade boat trailer grease. It has worked well for me for many years. I have a suspicion that some of the bike specific waterproof greases are actually repackaged marine grade grease. The only trouble is that a 1 pound container is a lifetime supply.
