Bikes: Are several.

Is the M15 octalink/ISIS crank bolt the right one for Shimano FC-5500 (FC-5501)

Title says it all:

I have two Shimano FC-5501 octalink cranksets on the way...and no crank bolts. It seems they're no included with the BBs, either, as they are with many Shimano square-taper BBs. Teach me to assume. So - there seem to be plenty of M15 octalink/ISIS bolt/washer combinations on ebay, a bit cheaper than the ones advertised as 5500 on, say, chainreactioncycles.com. Will these work for me? I can't tell from reading the Shimano tech docs...

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

AFAIK, (which means i'm not certain) the M15 bolts are the right ones for an Octalink bottom bracket. The only different ones I've ever heard of were M14 bolts used on some aluminum spindle ISIS bottom brackets due to the greater wall thickness.

I don't have any spare bolts to measure but I did measure the ID of the spindle a new 6500 Octalink bb I have in my parts box and it measured 14.0 mm which tells me the bolt OD is likely to be 15 mm.
