Huret Jubilee part needed
Nostalgia got the best of me recently and I bought a used huret jubilee rear derailleur without the mounting bolt. I searched the used bins for a mounting bolt to no avail. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Thanks for any insight you might share. It is a beautiful deraillier that may still be the lightest ever produced, it works well on vintage short range clusters (11-23 or so) and I would really like to use it on one of my rebuilds.

Alas, AFIAK the Jubilee mounting bolt is unique to that model and has been out of production for several decades now. The bolt is longer than the DuoPar/Success/Challenger bolt but much shorter than the mounting bolts on most other derailleurs of that era. You may have to source another Jubilee to get that part, or have a machine shop fabricate a replacement. Be aware that you will also likely need the specific tabbed washer for your dropout style -- Campy or Huret type.

If you go the machine shop fabrication route, let me know. I would be glad to send you measurement details and pics.

G, I would much appreciate measurements, details and pictures. It seems I might have to go to a machinist, though I will keep hoping I run into a trashed derailleur with the mounting bolt still attached. No hurry, I can not get to town for another week or so.

I dug it out of the storage bin last night to take a look. It's actually simpler than I thought. I think that if you could find a hex head bolt with the right thread diameter and pitch you may be able to modify it to work. Anyways, I will take some pics and some measurements and post them.

You may be able to use a rear axle lock nut as the required nut. These are threaded M10x1.0 and in that thickness range. The hex is commonly 17 mm so that may be a problem but give it a try.
