The one I reach for the most is a 3 way allen wrench. Lots of leverage and fits 90% of the fittings on most bikes.

fortunately I am not a victim of too many flats a year but when I do need to remove my tire this thing works better than any other lever Ive ever had.

I started wrenching on a BMX, and didn't get a nice road bike happening until I was 19 or so.

So I'd have to say my favourite tool is the allen key. Allen-head bolts are just such a tidy fastener, and working on a machine that uses them everywhere is a joy after working on a POS.

By far, my Ritchey Torque key - I have two and pulled the 4mm bit out of one and replaced it w/ a 5mm bit. Between the two I bet I do 90% of my messing aroudn with saddles, seat posts, cables, shift levers, etc. Very few things don't work with those two size bits and that basic torque range (~5nm).

My favorite tool Park Tool no longer makes; the CCW15 PB wrench. When you're riding with axle nuts it is a must. Most often used I also have to go with a 5mm allen wrench, although recently it seems I've been turning to my frame pump and tire patch kit way to often..

As one poster said, my favorite tool is the one I use when I need it; and the two most commonly used tools thus my most favorites are my QuikStik and my Park MTB3 mini tool.

Mine is probably my scratch awl. Getting a nice cable cutter was nice, but that still left most cable housings useless.
