Changing stems on threadless 1" headset (problem removing top cap cover)
Hello,
I was hoping I could get some quick advice on changing stems on my 2002 Bianchi Eros
Specifically, I am not sure how to remove the cover on the top cap in order to remove the stem. Here's a picture:
I've tried gently prying the cover with a screwdriver with no success. I assume there is a proper way to go about this which I just haven't realized.

Is there a "plug" in the center of the cap that covers the holding bolt's head? If so, pop it off and then the bolt should be obvious.

The Italians have a thing about putting covers and corks on stem bolts. They've been doing it got 50 years. Pop off the small cork, and you'll find the stem bolt underneath where you expect it.
