Habanero cable guide problem...solved
In case it helps someone in the future...
I finished cabling my new bike and was going to try a ride the next morning. Purely by chance,
I noticed the rear derailleur cable seemed "too close" at the BB shell. Upon further inspection, it was obvious the guide will not work on that frame. Anyway, here are some pictures of the original cable guide (first three pics) and the replacement (Shimano) guide (last pic) my LBS gave me.

Excellent clearance everywhere now.
Ride tomorrow.
