If you can find them. One thing you can do is rob them off another deraileur or from a discarded dual pull caliper. I am using a limit screw out of an old cheap deraileur as a centering screw on a dual pull caliper on my Trek right now.

Yes, but a few things to consider. You want to use stainless screws (thread is usually M3), because commercial grade non stainless screws aren't plated well enough for outdoor use. You want to make sure working that they're threaded to the head. Lastly you may need to grind a radius on the front end. Many commercial screws have rolled threads and the end is uneven. This will make for erratic adjusting as the effective length can change as you turn it against an angled cam.

Good luck with that. It took one of my local LBS's 4 weeks to find replacements for my SRAM Apex FD limit screws. I had called a couple others and they wouldn't even try beyond taking my name in case someone came in with a busted FD that they could strip.

Although even easier would be to just go to a place like Fastenal, or even a generic hardware store and find something there.
Anyways, brb, buying some stainless M3/M4/M5 screws and listing them for $20 on eBay lol **Genuine bike screws**

Really? What kind of shop was that? Took me a couple of seconds.

The shop did order the screws from SRAM - ended up costing something like $.50.
