solid tool box?

I realize I could just get a regular old tool box for my bicycle tools, but I'd like something that's made for bike stuff. Was looking at the Park BX-2... price tag is a little much for me and it's probably more than I need at this point. I don't have a space where I can just have a peg board either.

So, any recommendations? And in general, where do you guys shop for tools online?

Why the "but"? Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes or even Harbor Freight sell a wide range of tool boxes at reasoanble prices. What so different about bike tools that they need a special box?

As to purchasing the tools themselves, Bike Tools Etc. is an excellent source. Also, most of the big on-line bike and component retailers like Colorado Cyclist, Nashbar, Jenson and Amazon carry a range of bike specific tools.

Get a Craftsman 3 drawer top chest for starters then you can add an intermediate or bottom cabinet at a later date.

get a tool roll sewn, with a pocket for each tool.. and a grommet in the corner to hang it on the wall, if needed.

Ive seen shots of team race pro support van and a Mechanics briefcase
with several Pages of pouched tool holder pockets , kept everything tidy.

You can also add large hooks to the top of that tool roll, that way if you have a vehicle with a roof rack, you can clip the hooks to the rack and the tool roll can drape down the side of the vehicle. I have a Chevy Suburban. The Yakima rack on the back makes and excellent repair stand and the tool roll hangs off the side of the truck. It is really an awesome repair station. People in my club come running on a regular basis for small tweaks before a ride.

I have a couple drawers devoted to bike tools in my workbench. It's an old blueprint storage cabinet that I got from a neighbor. Lots of shallow drawers:

If you get a tool chest from Sears, you can get a pink one so no one steals it:

I've never had good luck with solid toolboxes. I find the hollow ones much better for storing my bike stuff.

I saw these a few weeks ago. I really want them but while you can sort of justify 20+ bikes having 2 tool boxes is a bit much.
