Source for j-bend bladed spokes?
I did a little searching but haven't found much. Anyone have a good source for bladed spokes at a reasonable cost? I'm building up a 20/24 wheelset and would like to try bladed this time.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter
I don't know if they exist as a production item, but making your own from standard balded spokes as a fairly easy proposition.

There use to be a tool for producing a "S" bend in a spoke. Basicly a pliars with jaws formed just so. Andy.

Bontrager/Trek builds with bladed spokes, black ones, might be cheaper to just buy them, the wheels.
racing timetrials, triathalons? why do bladed spokes appeal to you?
... oh you are in Wisconsin, needed a Cheeze slicer ..

CXRays are aero profile - but not exactly bladed, and not exactly cheap. This is the cheapest place I found to buy them.
(Not sure why the posters below want to pay so much more for these spokes where they buy them)
Sapim CXs are more of a blade - but I haven't done a price search for them.

Depends on where you are in the world. Wheelbuilder.com is in California and sells CX-Rays. Me being in Aussie, its cheaper to buy in bulk from Germany at either starbike.com or bike24.net. If I wanted to just but a couple of replacements for broken spokes then from memory it was sjscycles.com in the UK who used to sell singles with a relatively cheap postage price.
Good luck.
Good luck.

"if" your referring to me and where I buy them from (Germany), its because the postage from the USA to Australia is so obscene. Its cheaper and often faster to buy things from the Eu. than it is from the US when the postage is included.
Also the prices listed on the Eu sites are not what I pay. Non Eu countries dont pay the VAT tax so when looking at the prices of Starbike.com you need to reduce the end price (including shipping) by 19%. Last but not least is the fact that postage from Germanys DHL has a tracking service that is vastly superior to USPS. That fault is, I'm sorry to say, the fault is at this end of the equation, with Auspost.
Make sense now?

I was looking for some DT Swiss New Aero j-bend bladed spokes for a custom wheel build and was informed that these spokes are not for sale individually but only used in pre built wheels for clients such as Trek. So, sourcing these spokes took some digging, but I did find this website:
https://trekbicyclestores.com/
They had 2 of the sizes I needed but not the 3rd. I asked my local bike store who had an account through Trek and they were able to get the last size for me.
So, I guess you can potentially find out what prebuilt wheels out there use the spokes you want and try and find 'replacement' parts through their website.
