118.5 English BB-6500 w/damaged left cup. Replacement does not appear to be available. Before I purchase another bb does anyone know if something like a UN54 cup would work with this bb? Apologize if this has been addressed as the search returns an error for me.

I have a spare BB-6500 and just tried several UNXX cups on it and none of them fit. They were all too tight. As you may be aware, the BB-6500 is no longer made and a BB-5500 is the only available V1 Octalink still around. I don't know if the nds cup from a BB-5500 would fit but it's your only possibility at this point.

You might ask you LBS to check their spare bits bin. They may give you one for free.

Check on ebay - you see 6500 BB's often there.

Based on what Hillrider wrote, I have a suspicion that this won't work, but check the Problem Solvers "Up Cup" (left side replacement cup, but I believe it's for the UN54 only).... or contact them by email. They are very responsive to email inquiries.
