Mavic Ksyrium Equipe Hub

Anyone build a wheel using a Mavic Ksyrium hub with a spokes and rims other than Mavic proprietary spokes and rims? The spokes seem to be 1.8 mm straight pull. Standard DT?

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

If you can find a rim with the right drill, then spokes are spokes. Go to it.

Mavic spokes have a flattened section maybe a cm above the head, which allows them to be passed sideways through a slot in the hub's spoke seat. If you want to use round stock straight pull spokes you'll have to thread each spoke all the way through the spoke seat. You might want to check the diameter of the spoke head too, make sure that Mavic's aren't wider than a regular spoke.
