Locked Avid Elixir 5 Brake
I have Avid Elixir 5's on my 2011 Fuel EX 8. The rear brake was locked. It seems OK now, but I just want to check with you saavy, knowledgeable folks.
Google searching yields "bleed the brake" in many results. But the bike doesn't have a whole lotta miles on it (less than 500, all on fire roads), though it has been sitting for a time.
I looked at a Youtube video which makes it look easy to bleed the brakes, and I'm thinking I can do that. But is it really necessary?
Thanks in advance for your helpful replies.
