disc brakes and flats
Sorry for the newbie question. But does having disc brakes make it more difficult to change out a tire or tub etc.? In other words is the wheel more difficult to remove, front or back?

not really ..cable brakes dont close up the gap if you hit the brake lever while the wheel is out
hydraulic brakes can. there you have to be careful or shove 'the keeper' back in when the wheel is out.

Nope, you don't have to disconnect any brakes for discs, just loosen the spindles and drop the wheels out. To put them back on line them up disc in caliper, axle in dropouts and tighten.
