Cane Creek SpeedBar as bar-ends?

Has anyone used the Cane Creek SpeedBar?
https://www.canecreek.com/site/produc.../04_speed.html

I've been looking for a way to get bar-ends for my drop handlebar.
This seemed like a good way, mounted on the forward-pointing section of the handlebar - the section after the straight middle section and before the drops, just where it starts to bend down, to make it angle forward a bit, for comfort. The angled section at the end would provide a second set of hand positions up on top.
They're pretty cheap, after all.
