Need Help with Quill Stem Adapter Diameter
Sorry for a newbie question. I'm currently in the process of upgrading/updating my bike and I would like to replace the stock stem with threadless quill stem adapter , but I don't know which size should I buy.
This is my old stem. It's 22.2 in diameter. I think I have a 1'' threaded fork (not sure).

Replacement stem that I have - 28,6/25,4 mm fork diameter.

So should I buy the 25,4-28,6 (1'' to 1 1/8'') adapter or the 22.2-28.6 adapter?

It would be nice if the linked pages had better descriptions... Looks like the 22.2-28.6 is the size you need to convert a 1" fork (that has a 22.2 ID) to a stem with a 28.6 ID. Andy.

The adapter is giving the true size, which for you is 22.2mm or 7/8" to fit into a 1" fork with a 1/16" wall thickness. The 1" (25.4mm) adapter fits the ID of a 1-1/8" fork with a 1/16" wall.
