Full Bike Build Noob here
Not sure if this is the right area to post this in, but I'm building a new bike.
I havent purchased all my parts yet, which is also why I'm here. I need help in figuring out what is compatible.
I'm wanting to do 2x10
Frame:
2010 Orbea Opal 51cm carbon
Crankv:
2013 FSA GOSSAMER BB30 Road Bike Crankset 53/39t 172.5 10 Sp
bars:
Easton EC90
Bottom Bracket:
Not sure on whats compatible here.
Shifters:
Thinking about the Sram Rivals?
As for rims, I will probably go for alloy at the moment, carbon is sort of out of budget.
Really looking for some input! any suggestions at all. Thank you guys!

You can't just be thinking about individual parts, most parts on bikes work with others, and have to be selected so they are compatible.
For the BB, your frame decides this, what is the frames spec? if it's not BB30, then your crank won't fit, a quick Google search doesn't return much info about the Opal, but photos indicate it has a standard, not BB30 BB.
For shifters, what about the rest of the groupset, these all need to match both manufacture & speed.
For the bars, what stem are you looking at? most common are 31.8mm which will fit the EC90, but there are also 35mm, 26mm & 25.4mm stems on the market.
For rims, are you looking at building the wheels, or getting factory wheels, if so, Campagnolo or Shimano, 10 or 11 speed, whatever you were looking at, would try to get one which is 11 speed compatible, as this will be future proof at least for the next few years or so.

thx for the info!
bottom bracket shell: 68 x 34mm (id) is for the frame. not sure if this is what you're looking for.
I have an ORBEA TRIATHLON Aluminum Alloy 700c for the front tire.
do the shifters really need to match the derailers? what ones work best?

Do you mean fork? if so, is the steerer tube the correct size to match the frame? is there enough steerer tube left?
For the shifters, they need to match the rear deraileur, SRAM won't work with Shimano, which won't work with Campagnolo due to different cable pull lengths, with the front, you can do more mix and matching. You also need to match speed i.e. 10 speed shifters need a 10 speed compatible RD. For which is best, take your pick of which you like, each system has good and not so good features.

This is the front tire I have for the build: ORBEA Triathlon Aluminum Alloy 700c Road Bike Front Wheel Clincher Black New | eBay
hopefully that link works. https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/Nzk2WDYwMA==/z/PEgAAMXQ1ZhTfVPE/$_12.JPG
what would be a reasonable crank and bottom bracket for this bike? Trying to stay at a decent budget.
For the shifters should I go with the sram rivals? Also what rear rim/cassette?

- It's generally best to purchase the BB with the crankset, but whoever you purchased the crankset from should be able to provide BB spec.
- Building from scratch immediately throws "decent budget" out the window.
- We can't tell you what would be a "reasonable" part for you - building a bike is most rationally done by someone who is very familiar with their own needs and preferences, the relative cost and benefit of different options, compatibility among parts and what balance the person desires between cost and other factors.
- The fact that you don't know what parts to get and alternatively call a wheel a rim or tire tells me that you are building a bike because you want to, rather than because you can't meet your needs with a stock bike and minor changes - and you probably don't yet know what your needs are.
