testing handlebar

Hi guys

I have a beach cruiser which i have recently purchased and it is making some strange noises. Can you tell me what can be possible reasons for that and how to avoid?

Second i want to buy another bicycle for my gf but i don't want her to have same problem. How can i check if the handlebar is a nice one in shop.

Because at first they look pretty nice but as time passes the bad ones start to create problem? Is there a way to understand problem in shop with a short test ride?

thanks for answers

it takes walking in the door and talking to the staff .

The problem may be in overthinking ..

handlebars can be changed , its mostly about bend shapes .. the shop can swap them out on new bikes .
and sell you different ones for your old bike.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Handlebars don't creak, they're just bent tubes. it's the fit between a handlebar and a possibly loose stem clamp that does. It's easily dealt with in most cases, and if it happens on a new bicycle, the shop will deal with it at no charge.
