Inbred 29er, Alfine, bottom bracket, etc.

Hi guys!

I'm in the process of building up an On One Inbred 29er SS with an Alfine 8 hub. But before I go and spend I would like to figure out this chainline thing:

- The bike has 73 mm bottom bracket shell and is intended for a 50mm chainline.
- The Alfine hub has a 42mm chainline, unless the sprocket is flipped, then it becomes 47mm.
- I'm planning on using an Acera FC-M361 28-38-48 crankset, and removing the outer and inner ring thus making the middle 38 tooth ring the one I'm using.

1) What BB spindle length do I need to get near the 47mm chainline?
2) Will the 38 tooth ring clear the stays at 47mm chainline?

BR Niels

BTW, maybe I could use a wee bit shorter BB spindle length and put the middle 38 tooth chainring on the place of the outer chainring thus giving a cleaner look??
