November Rail carbon braking surface wear
I have had these for hardly 3ish weeks. 500ish miles. 2 races. I SWEAR I've kept the rim surface clean, I've cleaned the surface once a week with soap and water, along with the pads. I'm using the pads that came with the rims, which are Swiss Stop Black Prince pads. So with all that, today I got the rims trued. When they gave them back to me they pointed out the braking surface has grooves worn in it. They asked me if I'm using the correct pads for it, and asked me if they might have debris on them. Told them I've been using the pads that they came with, and that I *thought* I've been keeping everything clean. Is this normal wear? Almost feels like an aluminum rim braking surface. The worst surface is on the rear rim, drive side. I always try to keep a clean drive train. Cog set might be messy, but it's not like there's a ton of stuff falling out of it. I don't know much about carbon rims at this point, as this is my first set. Did I do something wrong? Is this typical wear or are these hosed now? I hope not. :-( Brand new!
ETA: Even the front has somewhat a bit of grooves worn in. But they definitely have smooth, worn spots that look "normal" to me. Not worn like the back rim. Ugh. These wheels have been sweet so far, but I guess I don't know what I'm doing maintenance wise. I swear the brakes don't have anything stuck in them or anything.

How are your riding conditions? Wet or dusty? It almost sounds like crud is kicking off the drivetrain into the rims/pads.
