Upgrading wheels on Giant Defy 2 Comp-questions
Just ordered a pair of Mavic Ksyrium Elite S wheelset for my 2014 Giant Defy 2 composite bike. What kind of weight reduction, if any, should expect from the new wheels?
Thanks

Whatever the difference of the new wheels/tires is compared to the wheels/tires that came on the bike is the weight reduction. You may have even increased the weight. Not something to worry about. Ride the bike and improve youself and don't worry about weight. Roger

Take the square root of the price you paid (in dollars), then subtract 30. That's the weight savings in grams. If the number is negative the weight increased, meaning you did not spend enough money and should try again.
