spokes for disc brakes
Well for disc brake wheels i have always used 2.0/1.8/2.0mm spokes. But for the one i may be building i was wondering if you think the wheelsmith butted spokes would be sufficient, thats 2.0/1.7/2.0mm. Would these be okay for discs do you think?

So when's the last time that you saw a spoke that had broken in that center section? It looks to me like even the thinest spokes still have plenty of tensile strength. The issue is that as spokes get skinnier they lose torsional strength and it's hard to tension the wheel because they wind up too much. I say go for it!

Yea im thinking i will go for it. What the hell, why not. I know theres no advantage gained, maybe 10 saved grams lol. But its fun to be different, all my disc wheels thus far have been with DT comp spokes so i want to use wheelsmith spokes. Ive only used them once, and that was just the drive side of my rear wheel im running now

Like Retro Grouch says. They need to be stressrelieved a bunch to keep everybody on the straight and narrow. but you are ulikely to have a failure in the skinny.
