22mm stem

Having problems finding one of these for my 992. They seem few and far between and are quite pricey. The one I have (Belleri) has a small 25mm clamp so will not go on a standard 25.4mm racing bars which I have.

How much work would it be to sand down a 22.2mm stem as there are a few of these about at reasonable prices. I tried to get my Belleri stem to fit my bars but it would not open widen enough and seemed a long way out

Why are you working to replace the stem already?

Did you get a replacement original Vitus fork, or have your damaged Vitus fork repaired?

The odds are that if you end up replacing the fork woth a non-Vitus replacement, that the replacement fork will use a 22.2mm stem if threaded, and you will have wasted your money sourcing a 22.0mm stem.

Better off waiting till you know what will happen to the frame and fork.

Got a point there. I am looking for a replacement 992 fork but none on the horizon. I am also waiting on my application for compensation.

Hopefully a fork will turn up soon.

...as already stated, wait for your fork.
