Clearcoating Carbon...
I am in the process of purchacing a easton ec 90 sl 2005 fork for my 2100. On the 2100 the rear stays are clear coated carbon and the easton fork is matt carbon. I think it would look awsome to clear coat the easton fork to match the stays over the existing logos, etc. Can that be done safely? Also does painting a carbon fork (the blades, not the dropout or steertube) generally void the warrenty?
Thanks in advance

I suspect that painting the fork would void the warranty. Of course, asking Easton is the best way to find out. As far as painting the fork goes, I can't think of a reason it won't work. Find an auto painter in your area and ask them to shoot some clear on it. Automotive paint will be far more durable than anything you can get out of a rattle can. Good luck.
