Work Stand
Needing a work stand for my bikes. Would like something that that folds up. Any stand out more than others?
I tried to do a search. It didn't reveal much.

I like Park Tool's consumer stands, and a lot of folks like Feedback Sports stands. The main questions are how do you want your bike sitting on the stand, seatpost clamp or BB & dropout mount and how good does the folding function need to be?

If you do any amount of work on your bikes...single best investment you can make.
Not cheap (look for used on craiglist) but IMHO worth every penny

The PCS10 it will be. Under $200 not that much when I figure the frustration it will alleviate working on my bike & others the way I have been.
As an added bonus I'm convinced I can clamp a pipe in it & also use it for a rod holder when fishing from the bank.....COOL!

im loving my PCS-10, can adjust it to work on any part of the bike in comfort and ease.
i was lucky to get mine at a very reasonable price from grumtree, second hand, local pick-up
i heard people brag about other stands that have teeth to stop it slipping on 360 degree turns
i have not experienced slippage with the PSC-10, & not much tension is required to hold it in place

I have one of the Feedback Sports stands and am very satisfied with it. They do fold up quite compactly. As with the Park's, they aren't cheap but are a life-time investment and you can't go wrong with either.
BTW, if you have a carbon or thinwall aluminum frame, always clamp them by the seatpost. I bought a couple of very cheap seatposts of the right diameters and dedicated them to the repair stand but I only have two diameters (27.2 and 31.6mm on my bikes. Park makes a universal size work-stand seatpost replacement for those who work on a wide variety of frames.

HillRider, thanks for the reminder regarding clamping to seat post. Something I know but something I also would have overlooked or forgotten about using the stand the first or second time.
