Mid 80's dura ace cranks question
what are the smallest chain rings that the Dura Ace 7400 (i think that is the number) can accommodate? I have a couple of sets laying around and would like to ustilize the 175's on rando style bike made from a VO Passhunter frame.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Shimano has been using a 130mm BCD for decades (maybe from the beginning of Dura Ace), so the smallest inner ring would be 38 teeth. If you want to confirm (always wise) measure the distance bolt to bolt (side of the pentagon) and refer to this chart courtesy of the late Sheldon Brown.
