I would really say you should just upgrade your RIMS first, and there are a ton of rims available with most running right around 50 bucks each (front and rear = 100 bucks) The tough part is you then have to build the wheel, or pay a shop to do it. Building a wheel for the first time is scary and takes a long time. No less than about 8 hours the FIRST time you do it, plus you will probably need new spokes, which is why buying a decent complete wheelset is a good way to go. |
