I would really say you should just upgrade your RIMS first, and there are a ton of rims available with most running right around 50 bucks each (front and rear = 100 bucks)

The tough part is you then have to build the wheel, or pay a shop to do it. Building a wheel for the first time is scary and takes a long time. No less than about 8 hours the FIRST time you do it, plus you will probably need new spokes, which is why buying a decent complete wheelset is a good way to go.
8 HOURS?! jesus holygod...the first wheel i built took me like, and hour and a half. maybe if you have the spokes on one end of town, and the nipples on the other end of town, and the hubs and rims three towns over...8 hours? are you serious?

thats messed up. i have had the Odyssey hazard lite Flip-flop wheel set for like 2 years now and i havent had any trouble with them besides from not being able to run micro gearing below 36-13....(runnin 39-14),there not weak, and im not a little guy either so maybe the cassete sucks but i have never heard anything bad about it...

my riding is pretty smooth, and they still bent. last week i traded both of them for a 7ka and a hula hoop. much better.

the cassette isn't that good. i run a 30-10 now. running big gears suck for me

You and your friend Matt don't do anything that appears to be even remotely hard on your bikes, though, judging by your website.
