XS cranks

I can't seem to find any information on XS parts? can anyone explain to me the deal with them? I have the opportunity to get a set of 3pc XS cranks used at a really good price. Are they generally a good company? Do they have a website, i can't seem to find em.

XS was Schwinn's component company in the late '90s, before Schwinn went bankrupt (again). They made some great parts. If you use the cranks, though, I'd recommend getting bearings and bottom bracket cups for a Primo Powerbite crankset (they both use 22mm spindles), because the needle bearings that the XS cranks used were unsealed, and required frequent greasing (even though they worked excellently, and the bearings were pretty much indestructable).

if you can find the sealed XS hubs they are really frickin' good. they came on the top-end schwinn freestyle bikes around 2000. I'd kill for a pair of those, and one of those bmx-style stingray seats.

well this guy said they where sealed, but i've posted on another board and was told none of them where. . .but either way all of the reviews seem to be very good on these cranks. the bike it came off, not sure of the name, i deleted that e-mail, believe it was off a jay mirron bike or an automatic pro comp or something. . .

either way it seems i should be pleased are XS parts good then? I have quite a few on my bike already i just havn't been able to find any info on any of them (handle bars, xs hubs, xs pegs, xs seat clamp, xs rims, xs seat, xs grips)

The bearings are great (they're damn near indestructrable, they allow for precision tightening of the BB, and they run smooth), except for one thing: they're unsealed, and you have to grease them about once a month if you actually ride your bike.
