Full link to half link chain?
So currently I have a traditional full link chain on my BMX bike. It is all rusted and sincs i will replace it why not get something cool looking. I saw at some hardware store they have half link chains and i was wondering if i get the right size chain would it work on my bike? Im not sure if the sprockets are different for half link chain. Can anyone help me and if so do you know anything about the sizing of chain?

The pitch is the same for just about all bike chains - 1/2”.
What you need to match is the width. You have the option of either 1/8” or 3/32”, with 1/8” being the most likely.
Then you buy it overly long and size it on the bike.

I have even seen chains made up entitrly of half links, somewhat gimmicky, but it does simplify things..
I use a half link, on my IGH bike , I always open the chain there , easy to find because it's different..

Half link chains work the same as a full link chain. I have 1 on my 3 speed internal geared mountain bike. Works just fine,...
