somthing new
hey,
a couple of months ago i bought a KONA BLAST mountain bike. i have recently started taking it down to the local skate park, not doing very dangerouse stuff but still fun. last week i fell off and twisted my rear derailleur, this means i have to buy a new one (£40) for my gears to work again. This made me realise that as i experiment more in the park i am gonna *** up my bike more and more.
So i thought i could buy a cheep BMX (around £50 prob of eBay) to take to the skate park and use my XC bike to travel around on and do off road trails.
Is this a good idea? Does anydody have any suggestions on makes i could get?
Also, i have ridden my friends BXM a litle bit and find it very different to my bike (obviousely) but i will not do some of the stuff i can do on my bike on it. If i buy one will i get used to it or will it be a waste of money?
Cheers

Ask the guys at your park what to get. You think some kids in the US are going to have the slighest idea of what's available in the UK? You'll need a stout freestyle bike, not a light race bike. And if you go cheap, you'll just be replacing BMX parts soon.

See thread: "Locking your BMX" for possible explanation.
