Good Beginner's Bike

What's a good beginner's bike for Street/Park BMX? I was thinking a DK or Haro for under $300.

Try the search function, or at least go through the BMX threads before you ask.

I didn't see one that helped.

Some people on this board are just plain rude

Try ebay. you may be able to get a much better bike for your buck.

The reason no one else has really offered any suggestions is because they're tired of answering the same question over and over again. I'll bet if I did a search, I could find the same question asked 6 times in the last 2 months. Look at the DK 4 pack or 6 pack, or whatever they are. Haro Backtrail comes up a lot too. Have you checked prices and Danscomp yet?

Some people on this board have forgotten what it was like to be new and have questions. If you don't want to answer the post, then leave it be; there's no need to be condecending about it.

Trucont 08-28-05 07:40 PM

.. This is really funny, how much a simple question can cause.

That's hardly the issue. Even when I was *new* I read as much as I could first before asking questions, especially ones that have already been answered 3209482039805932801985081320498723094875023987501 times. Asking this particular question doesn't show that someone is new and uneducated, which we can forgive, it shows that they're lazy and haven't bothered to look for an available answer before asking a vague and obviously unresearched question. This is NOT something we should be forced to put up with in the name of helping out new folks.

Snazz is that an exact figure?

Then just ignore the post instead of being a smart a**.

FireTeamCharlie 08-28-05 09:37 PM

I've got a good idea. We sticky a thread that lists bikes for beginners in the $200-300 price range. Like what they do in the Road bike , and MTN bike form. So we dont have to see, all these topics, about bikes for beginners and crap.

Well, if you'd bothered to use the search function yourself and find all the daily iterations of this thread, you'd already know that I *do*. Netiquette is not about being nice to everyone all the time, it's about learning the ways and customs and playing by them. If you're a blockhead when it comes to bikes, that's okay, we got answers. If you won't meet us halfway and actually TRY to find the answer on your own, we'll have plenty of lulz at your expense. It is the Way of our people.

Thanks for that, Snazzy. I only went back about 10 days or so.

Lets just make a beginner thread that lists what bikes to get, first tricks etc.
