if they are long, cut them. most street riders ride grips with ridges. your grips never get sweaty, and they are most likely the most comfy grips. if you don't like them, look into primo or odyssey

What do you mean you want cheaper grips? They go from 10-15 dollars and dont to be much more expensive than that.. and they last you several months. But, yea, I dont like squishy grips so I usually ride like Primo Degroot grips or Primo Walls or something.

I'm a big proponent of Odyssey Team grips. They're awesome, once you wear them in a bit.

How about keeping grips tight? When I was in to motocross, we used wire. I've also heard fo using hair spray to help put them on and keep them from moving.

If you put your grips on dry (like with a compressor) they won't slip. The rest is up to you, just find a pattern you like and go ride.

Go to a MX shop and get some Renthal Grip glue. Once you put that stuff on and it drys it will never move, you need to get a razor blade and cut the grips to get them off once you put the grip glue off.

Yeah, then you gotta clean all the crap off your bars before installing new grips or you're back with the same problem. Clean bars + clean grips = no slip

Its not that hard to clean the crap off your bars. At the most it would take 5 minutes to clean your bars. We use that stuff on our MX bars alot. I wear through Renthal waffle grips every two weeks. We have to change the grips and clean the bars alot. Its not hard.

I didn't say it was hard. I said it was *unnecessary*.

Jesus. Just use some WD-40 to get your grips on there, no problems.

Bikes: I own 1 custom bike, and i'm to lazy to list parts

The only grip I will ever buy again is the Primo Martinez grips. Well, maybe once the new version of the Nate Hansen grips come out, I MIGHT try those.

The Martinez grips are soooo big(around), so once you go from those to another bike with "normal" size grips, it feels like there's nothing to hold on to.

Guys, there's a pattern here. Even worse than "Wut bike shud i git?". He's asking us to help him choose a bike, bit by bit. He needs skills, not parts.

i always used wd-40 to get mine on and off, ive had no problem with throttle grip or anything. I usually switch between hoffman mushroom grips and odyessy team grips, they both feel pretty similar and they both work well for me. They both usually last about 3 or so months, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter depending on what happens to them.
