The real question is how much would you pay to see Mustaine tear what's-his-name from Metallica's arms off.

Back on topic. Unless that bike was free, or close to free, it's a waste of time and money. A lightweight race frame is not going to last long for any kind of street riding. Especially if it's already seen a few races.

Back in the day I used a Hutch Pro Racer. Did some pretty sick jumping, both on & off pavement. Rode mostly street. Freestyled some too. For a race bike, it did just fine. I just wish I still had it!

Lars? No love lost there. I think Dave sees him as some kind of monster...

So the bike was free? Just go beat on it until the frame brakes or the wheels buckle. I'm not a bike snob by any means, but that is just the wrong tool for the job. It was built to be light, not for abuse.

I can't stand Selloutica either!

I saw the press release for Master of Puppets on Mtv, in which James Hetfield said: "we will never make a video, never cut our hair, never change our style."

They did all of that.

My luck w/ racing frames has been good so far. I didn't get a whole bike...just frame/forks/headset/seatpost clamp.

Are there any web bike shops with as much selection as Dan's Comp, but w/ better prices?

If I was in a band as crappy as Slipknot, I'd wear a mask too. With a few exceptions, I've been a Metallica fan for about 23 years now.

So what's your plan? Buy stout wheels that will outlast the frame? Or buy wheels suited to the frame, which won't last under much abuse?

I like them up to & including the Black album. After that, only Garage Inc. was worthy.

The fact that they've been obsolete for upwards of a decade, for starters.

Learn to land. Skyways are for kids and old school bikes that don't get ridden.

Skyways and a layback. You don't need advice from the BMX forums. Go down to Brownsville and you'll probably find the exact bike you're trying to build.
