I prefer the feel of the Nikon, I have experience with D100s and D70Ses, and, frankly, I'm of the opinion that Nikon is the sh1t.

As for lenses, I'm not sure as to what I'd be buying; I just know that I could get one hell of a nice fisheye if they tripled my income, like they should.

Well, here's a picture, even if it's crappy. It's hard to shoot yourself with a self-timer, and it's hard to get a good picture when you're shooting at ISO 1600 and f/2.5, 1/30th and it's still too dark.

I like it. Even though its not some amazing trick, looks kinda cool...
Its a footjam right? Or is it like some other thing, becuase it looks like your hands are off a bit...

Thanks, yeah it's just a footjam. I usually open my hands up when I do it, partly because it seems like if I keep them closed I keep leaning forward and go over. I'll try to get a picture of me in the middle of a no footed (1 footed maybe?) footjam, even though I can't ride out so it's kind of cheating.

I finally got an external flash - it's a Sunpak 555. Haven't gotten any good riding pictures yet, but here's one from today..

Hopefully I can shoot some riders that are better than my friend and I soon... heh

Seriously now, you may be able to take a photo of someone doing something, but that doesn't necessarily make it worthy of having a photo taken.

The kid is six inches off the ground, tucked, on what appears to be a four-foot long tabletop.

No, he doesn't have a seat on his bike. Yes, it's a four foot long tabletop. No, he's not very high off the ground.

Yes, I'll take pictures of stuff worth taking pictures of eventually.

We tried making a dirt half pipe type of thing in this dry irrigation ditch.. still needs some work smoothing it out and making it so we can get more speed to roll in or something to air out.

But took a picture of my friend riding down one side, tried holding the flash out to the side to cast a shadow and make the lighting look better. Will probably get a longer cord so I can set it on a tripod.

Oh, he has a seat on his bike now.. borrowed one of mine for now.

Another shot:

You should try to lean over your bars/get them in your lap, that would enable you to throw your hands in front of your bike instead of to the side, those look better...
