I posted this last night... anyways, yes, it's broken.

Time for a T1 Ruben or Macneil Heaton 2. Does anybody know what the smallest gear ratio I can run with this frame is? The Joe frame can fit 28/10.

How did you snap the general? And I like T-1's as well, but why not get a nice new Sunday! frame or one of the newer frames?

I was thinking about getting one, but it will cost me $550 to get the frame, bb and headset.

About $100 cheaper for the T1 or the Macneil. If anybody has some other suggestions for frames with 20" toptube and full chromo, lets hear them.

Also, I dont know what made it go, I just came off of a little hip jump at the skatepark and it cracked right behind the BB.

This is what you get for riding one of those, seeing as how they're low-grade Taiwanese crap now, as opposed to the good US-built ones of old.

So, if an american built frame breaks, I can say:

No. My point is that the frame was, in the past, DK's highest grade frame, made from full 4130 chromoly, and welded in the US. Then they decided to turn it into a cheap, POS complete bike with only chromoly main tubes. Hell, even the fork they put on the complete isn't all chromoly; only the steer tube is.

So, it's how it was made and what it was made with, and not where or who made it that is the problem.

The point is also that American frames are made better than the crap you get from Taiwan... ever wonder wonder why stuff from Taiwan is cheaper?

OK, I'll stop spamming it now. How much would an S&M Stricker cost there?

The point s that building a reputation for quality products, then turning around and putting your name on overseas junk is a poor business practice if you're looking for long term results.

Back when I got it, I wasnt into riding BMX to much and didnt know anything about cromoly and stuff.

The stricker will be about the same price.

Right now it's beetween the t1 and the macneil.

Heaton 2, it's the only one with a 20" toptube.

Where exactly do you see the Heaton 2? I looked on danscomp and they don't have the Heaton.. I look on Albes and they say that it is being redesigned.. where exactly do you see it?

Need I remind you that the Sunday frame has a lifetime warranty against breakage. Sure you might have to save a little longer, but you get what you pay for.

Plus there will be some special limited edition '07 models around X-mas. I wont say anymore.... Jim C. will reveal more info in due time...

Or, y'know, I kinda want to ride, and I have full confidence I wont brake the T1 or Macneil.
