This winter we set up a few kickers in the yard, and after we got out of the jacuzzi we would launch them on our bikes then jump back in. It was pretty damned fun.

I think I like the last photo best--I love the look of classic old buildings, as exemplified by the vases with flames thing. I also like the green/blue balance of the lighting. What building is this, kjohnnytarr?
East Hill |
It's an old building called the Tiger Hotel, built in the 20s. It saw a lot of use when businessmen traveled right into downtown Columbia MO by train, but fell out of favor when highways and roadside hotels became the travel norm.
Today, it's still the tallest building in downtown Columbia, and it's in use too. Most of the floors are rented out to the rich and old, the penthouse has offices, and the lower levels have space for small gatherings and a community theater. It's fun to explore around inside, too, although not as pretty as the roof of course: http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/S5000761.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/S5000760.jpg http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...r/S5000681.jpg |
Is the Otis elevator motor really still a working motor, or is it on display? If you aren't giving away secret information, are you doing part of the renovation?
