Hoffman 900

Is this a good bike. I've been using my friends BMX for a while now and I'm starting to like it and to get good. Would you guys recommend this bike or no. I'm willing to spend 5-600CDN which this bike falls within.

Hey, thats not a bad bike at all. Its can be easily upgraded and is a nice bike for the price. But I'm almost positive that you can probably get an better bike for that money. Dont get me wrong, hoffmans are good bikes. But If you go to somewhere like "www.danscomp.com" you can customize your bike and make better upgrades and buy the bike at a reasonable cost. I nice frame you could get is a S&M, just to get started. But if you really want to, get the Hoffman. But If you wanna stronger and more "custom" bike, make one on your own.

PS - If you need any help picking out parts Im sure people on this forum will gladly help you or even ask me.

I like that page. I may actually do that. My friend has his BMX for sale though. He's asking 600CDN for it. I'll get the specs when he gives them to me.

Well first off which version of the 900 is it? The Prodigy, Star, or Team issue? Each bike differs from frame tubing to components. Each bike also carries a different price tag.
Any one knows that a custom rig can be selected to be a better quality bike than stock. However they ALWAYS cost more. Dan's Comp prices are no different on frames and completes than I am in my shop. He gets me on componets but hey the buying power man!
To answer your question yes. The Hoffman 900 is a good bike I sell them and have no complaints from any of my customer's. I also sell Redline and most like the Hoffman's better.

HEHE I work in the bike shop too. We just opened up our BMX devoted store upstairs. That is why I mentioned Hoffman's. The reason I know nothing about BMX is because I still work down in the MTB and RTB store.

Well if you work in a shop then go for an employee purchase on a frame and build itt up if you do not like the specs on a stock rig. However the 900 Team is plenty of bike.
