Metal Burma

Anyone have an opinion or information on this frame?
I am about to pick one up on the cheap either way but know nothing of the frame aside from knowing the company is good.

It should last you for a long time; that being said, it is pretty "heavy" in comparison to more recent frames. If I remember correctly, it was a 7lb frame.

I scored said frame.. w/
"hoffman cranks, S&M slam bars, Metal Bikes seat, 2 man O war hubs laced to hula hoop rims, super beef chain, new oddyssey rear tire."
and some other knicknacks for $120 bout 15 minutes ago. Merry Christmas to me.

It's a solid bike, and good price. It may be a bit too heavy for todays up and coming riders that worry about every ounce and can't even bunnyhop, but at least you wont have to worry about breaking anything. My freind who just got back into riding has Metal Kizz which i beleive is the Burma's Jenny Craig sister.

Word... The bolt that runs through the chainring and into the crank is gone and the BB doesn't look pressed in all the way.. So yeah, maintained by a careless kid it would appear. That is a threadless BB shell right???

Post a shot of the cranks, please. Hoffman cranks? Also, I'm pretty sure that that frame is going to have an American BB.

Not sure on those cranks man, they look like cheap **** to me. I will post pics and pop em off when I can, I am on my GF's mac out of town so don't have the ability at the moment.

Sick. I would take those cranks in an instant. I haven't had any problems with my Fit cranks besides the threads becoming distorted due to bad pedals that came with it that actually ended up breaking out of my cranks... they do weigh a ton though.

Speaking of threads being distorted, a kid that rides with me every once in awhile just completely ****ed his cranks becuase he didn't know that one side was reverse threaded

Haha. I almost did that when I first got my bike... then I was like "oh, there's a left and a right pedal"... and hence did not mess up my cranks.

k, the black cranks in the pics look to be (now) just general "Profile" cranks but... there are some that are raw metal in finish that (came in a shoe box w/ the bike) have really large splines and look really beefy... any thoughts?
Yes I know... I will shoot some pics later.

I think he knew about the left and right pedals, but not that one side is reverse threaded.

Since we are talking about stickers, I want to take all mine off... and possibly take my brakes off too even though the day I broke my leg I got a dirty harry lever and new brake cable so I could ditch the gyro. On an even sadder note, I never got to use either of the two. I want to shed some weight on my bike and I never use brakes anyway. No fufs for me.
