U brakes to V brakes

I have a giant modem bike. I removed the front brakes and there are these two things sticking out from the old brakes and would like to know if I can can it to V brakes. I would also like to know if I could still use the gyros if I install a V brake to the front end. Also is there a way that I can change my rear U brakes to a new V brake in my rear ends. I heard that you need some kind of adapter but I can't find one.

V brakes use a different type of mount, so I don't think they'll work. They need to be a different shape and in a little bit different place on the frame/fork.

It won't work. U brakes are put in a different position.
